Perfect Pork Joint (Air Fryer)

With Perfect crunchy Crackling

Delicious succulent and moist Pork Joint with Perfect crunchy and salty crackling, perfect for that family Sunday dinner or weekend get together, tastes amazing served with Carrots, Mash, and Roast potatoes with a dash of thick Gravy.

Serves 4


  • 1.2 kg – 1.4 kg Pork leg Joint

  • Fine Sea Salt

  • 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil


  1. Remove Joint from any packaging/wrappers, place on a plate and score lengthways.

  2. With a Kitchen Towel, Pat down the top to dry.

  3. Add a layer of salt to the top and rub into the top.

  4. Place back in the fridge uncovered for 1 hour.

  5. Remove from the fridge, pat dry again then add another layer of salt and rub in.

The above process helps the fat to dry out for the perfect crunchy crackling.

Once the drying process is finished, follow the below steps.

  1. Rub the Olive Oil into the top of the Joint.

  2. Place into the Air Fryer (Fat side up) at 200° on Air Fry Setting for 20 minutes.

  3. After 20 minutes, set the Air Fryer on Roast at 180° for 45 minutes.

  4. After 45 minutes, remove from the Air Fryer, wrap in Foil and leave to rest for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Carve and Serve with your favourite seasonal Veg.
